About KuneKune Pigs
KuneKune pigs (pronounced "Cooney Cooney") are an excellent homestead pig. They are medium size pigs that originate from New Zealand. KuneKune means 'fat and round' in Maori language. They have short, upturned snouts that discourage rooting, and they do not challenge fences. KuneKunes are grazing pigs and are able to grow on low inputs, making them an ideal breed during periods of escalating grain prices.
Ginger and Greta are our two female pigs. Ginger is the solid red and Great has the black spots. They are very friendly and love scratches!
Gio and Gibby are our newest pig additions. Gio is red and Gibby is black. We plan to use these cute boys to breed our females in the spring!
